In the previous post I wrote that Bro. Eyer is author of Observing The Craft. I was mistaken and most probably asleep at the the laptop
Bro. Eyer is editor of The Philalethes Society Journal and PM of Academia Lodge No. 847 in Oakland, CA.
Bro. Andrew Hammer is author of Observing The Craft and PM of Alexandria-Washington No. 22 in Alexandria, VA.
Thanks again to WB Thomas Pierce for catching the mistake.

Masonic Books of Note
Brethren,
The value of masonic education should never be underestimated. The following link is a listing of suggested reading available on Amazon. While all these books are masonic they cover a wide enough range of topics that most any masonic reader might find something that appeals to their particular interests. If you find one that piques your interest by all means read it and give some thought to reporting your impressions of the book before the Lodge so that other brothers might benefit from your erudition . It wouldn't be a bad idea to donate one of these books to the lodge library after you are through reading it either.
We will be adding to this list in the future so check it from tome to time.

2012 Officer Installation and Potluck Dinner
Happy Holidays everyone!

Multnomah Lodge held elections two weeks ago, where we elected all of the primary officers. In addition, we are in the midst of the holidays, and are excited to combine the Installation with our Holiday Potluck (A tradition that we’d like to revive. Newly elected for the 2012 year are:
Worshipful Master: Sterling Anton
Senior Warden: Jeff Schatz
Junior Warden: Jorge CastaƱeda
Secretary: Will Anton, PM
Treasurer: Bill Mars, PM
Bill Mars was also elected to serve on the board of trustees, and we’re excited to have his experience and knowledge of the building in the oncoming year as we move forward with important discussions and decisions.
I would like to invite you, and your families and friends to our annual Installation of Officers and Multnomah Lodge Holiday Potluck!
This is a good opportunity for family members and friends to understand a little more about what Masonic Lodges do, and what the charges of each officer is. We’ll also precede the short Installation with a Christmas Potluck dinner, at which I look forward to seeing many families from not only Multnomah Lodge, but also from our concordant bodies: Pioneer Chapter #28 O.E.S and Kellogg Court #29 Amaranth. It is my hope that the incoming year will bring all bodies that meet under our roof together more often.
Please join us on:
Monday, December 19th
Potluck: 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Installation: 8:00pm to 8:30pm
Multnomah Lodge
707 Main St.
Oregon City, Oregon 97045
The lodge is providing a meat dish, and we’re looking for your family-favorite dish that would go great amidst a holiday celebration. Please bring a hearty side dish or dessert, or both.
Sincerely,
Sterling Anton
Senior Warden

2011 Grand Lodge
The last few days have been a whirlwind of meetings, voting, lectures, networking, laughing and toasts, and I'm happy to report that your WM, SW and JW are having a great time (along with our Tyler Scott Maggi) at Grand Lodge here in sunny (but chilly!) Bend, Ore.
We spent yesterday evening BBQ'ing and kicking back with our Brothers from Columbia Lodge #114, who are staying in a cabin much like we are. Photos coming soon.
S&F,
SW Sterling Anton
